Cathode materials for rechargeable lithium oxygen batteries: noble metal catalysts

  • Lithium oxygen battery has high theoretical energy density and is expected to become a promising new battery system in the future.Noble metal catalysts not only have high catalytic activity, but also have excellent comprehensive properties such as high temperature resistance, oxidation resistance and corrosion resistance.In this paper, the preparation methods of noble metal-based lithium oxygen battery cathode materials and their effects on battery performance are reviewed, including ruthenium, rhodium, palladium, silver, iridium, platinum, gold, and composite noble metal catalysts.
