Abstract
The emergence of non-fullerene organic small molecule acceptors in recent years has promoted vigorous developments of organic solar cells. However, photophysical mechanism of non-fullerene organic small molecule acceptors and photoelectric conversion mechanism are unclear, seriously hampering efficient development of high-performance organic solar cells. Progress of our studies of carrier dynamics in acceptor materials of organic solar cells are introduced. Effects of terminal group engineering, side chain engineering and skeleton engineering on carrier dynamics of small molecule acceptors are studied. A structure-dynamics-device performance relationship is built to promote further development of organic solar cells.
